Translation

Translations from English to Brazilian Portuguese and from Portuguese to English. First, I apply the translation strategies following the Linguistics methods so that my translation choices have a theoretical background. I use specialized terminology, following the specificities of the text and its field of knowledge, using specialized glossaries. Moreover, to keep the text natural, I stick to the meaning of the words according to their context, which provides a high-quality translation faithful to the original, unlike machine translations.

Proofreading

Are you doubtful about grammar, cohesion, or formatting? Specialized proofreading is the ideal way to make your text shine. To do so, I apply the normative grammar of the Portuguese and English languages, correcting grammatical errors. I also fix errors of cohesion and meaning according to your requirements to make your text clearer and free of ambiguities. I also format your file according to your objectives, such as the specific norms for publishing articles. Therefore, I proofread end-of-course papers, monographs, scientific articles, publications for social networks, and legal opinions, both in English and in Portuguese.

Localization

In a globalized world, it's fundamental to have your business on the internet. Because of that, your website needs to be available in other languages, especially in English, to reach international markets. Website localization consists of a translation that considers the internet specifics features, and the localization objective is to make your website as natural as possible in the target language. To this end, localization relies on the following essential elements, language and regionalism, cultural and transactional elements, local elements of communication and trust, and navigation and discovery. Thus, it differs from a translation by adapting the user experience, not just the message itself. Furthermore, for your website to be highly relevant, it is necessary to use the combination of the right keywords, whether in English or Portuguese. For that, I apply the technics of search engine optimization (SEO), UI/UX, and digital marketing.

MTPE

MTPE is the acronym for machine translation post-editing, which consists of proofreading a machine translation, such as those from Google Translator or DeepL. It's focused on checking the formatting and terminology errors, addition or omission of information, editing unsuitable or culturally inappropriate content, applying grammar rules, such as spelling, punctuation, and hyphenation. In short, it's an attempt to get close as possible to a human translation.
