About me
About me
I'm a freelance translator from English to Brazilian Portuguese.
I build bridges between worlds, languages and cultures.
I'm a young Brazilian passionate about languages who chose translation as its way of life. I'm an English to Brazilian Portuguese translator, and for me, a good translation is related to the transposition of the meaning from one language to another. That way, considering the context and the text objective are essential steps.
I have profound knowledge of the strategies, problems, and solutions in translations, so I work at the intersection between translation theories and practices. As a translator, I estimate the quality, naturalness, and fidelity of a translation, in addition to the specific needs of the client. As a person, I value dedication, punctuality, and research.
To ensure the quality and the correct use of terminology, I count on the help of computer-assisted translation tools, translation memories, specialized glossaries, and quality assurance software.
I have experience in topics related to Human and Social Sciences, Law, Economics, Finance, Informational Technology, and Environment.
I emphasize my soft skills, such as the scientific curiosity needed for translators in general, the suspicion with easy solutions, the conflict resolution skill, and team work.
My tools
I believe in lifelong learning, and as a result, I keep myself updated on the tools needed for translations, and I also develop skills beyond translation.
